The FREEDOM
CRUISES Philanthropy Cruise of
November, 2005 was enjoyed by all. We launched
this
project as a way to introduce FREEDOM CRUISES to
more folks in our community. Those who joined our
merry
band of cruisers for this sailing were invited to designate
a
beneficiary organization. FREEDOM CRUISES made
donations to the organizations after the cruise.
Everyone who
joined Ken and Ellen Bisson for the
cruise were new to cruising, so it was a wonderful introduction.
"We had a really great trip" and "I had a great time
and enjoyed
meeting everybody" were representative of the comments
from
those sailing with us. "Thanks and hope to cruise
with you again
sometime" was, of course, received most humbly.
Several of
our group swung through the forest canopy in
Jamaica while Ken joined a golf excursion. Costa
Maya was
a replacement port of call for Cozumel and proved to
be most
enjoyable. The private island, PRINCESS CAYS, was
both
fun and beautiful. There, Ken provided sailing
lessons and
thrills for all takers aboard a rented Hobie Cat.
Upon our return,
the President of the Angola Rotary Club, Jim Burns
was presented a donation check for $200 (see below).
Checks for $100 each were given to The Advocates for Self-Government
and
The Libertarian Party of Indiana as designated by fellow
cruisers. Below is
LPIN Chair, Mark Rutherford, accepting the donation.
