Our booking window for the February
2007 Hawaii Cruise
is ending, so I'd like to devote this issue to another
2007
cruise option. I've organized a 5 day California
Wine Cruise
for the fall of 2007. If you'd like to consider
joining us,
please read on.
Ellen and I have wanted to visit
the Napa and Sonoma
Valley Wineries for a long time. In the past, one
could fly
there, rent a car, and drop in at almost any winery to
enjoy
their tasting rooms at no charge. Over the past
decade, more
and more wineries have required reservations and instituted
fees in order to visit. Hotel space has been at
a premium
and is often unavailable. A friend of mine took
Cruise West's
wine cruise and highly recommended it to avoid all the
hassles.
Cruise West offers a small ship
experience along with
the best tour of California's wine country. Here's
what we're
going to be doing:
Monday, October 15 - Board the Yorktown Clipper at San Francisco
Enjoy dinner on the ship while
sailing under the Golden
Gate Bridge and across the Bay to the Napa River.
Tuesday, October 16 - Highlights of the Napa Valley
Board a motorcoach to tour the
Culinary Institute of
America, Auberge de Soleil, and Mumm Napa. Sail
overnight to
Sausalito for:
Wednesday, October 17 - Sausalito explore for a day on your own.
Sail this evening back to the Napa River for:
Thursday, October 18 - Choices among Sonoma Plaza, St Francis, St. Jean
Friday, October 19 - Disembark at San Francisco
I have a block of five staterooms
for this cruisetour.
(There are only 69 staterooms on the Yorktown Clipper.)
Please let me know if you would like me to send you a
brochure
or hold a stateroom for you. When you join us for
the optional
hot air balloon ride over the Sonoma Valley Vineyards,
you'll
agree this was an amazing vacation!
Best Wishes,
Ken
